How do I find the product I'm looking for? We like to think the SFCD mall is like your local mall down the street. When you don't know which store carries the product you're look for, you either look it up in the Directory or you go to the Information Booth to ask for help. Our Product Search feature is like the Information Booth. The person behind the counter may not be able to tell you where to find what you are looking for by make and model, but they can tell you which stores are most likely to carry the product type. For example: if you are looking for a Panasonic 4 Line Digital Wireless Telephone System we probably can't help you there BUT if you were to search for Business Telephones, we would be able to recommend several stores that carry Business Telephone systems. At that point, simply click on the store of your choice. Once inside, most have directories and search capabilities within their store that will help you find the exact telephone system you are looking for.
Is shopping at your site secure? Yes. Each of our merchants offers safe and secure shopping.
I'm uncomfortable providing my credit card information over the Internet. May I order any other way? The most stringent security measures are followed to ensure that your credit card information is always safe. All of our vendors offer Security Guarantees and individual payment methods such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We encourage you to check their Web sites for details and alternative payment options. Please note that when using alternate payment methods, you may need to specify that your purchase should generate an affiliate fee to your organization.
How much money does an organization get from my shopping? An organization will get the full percentage of the purchase price (minus tax, shipping, and handling) shown in the information on each store. Each Merchant lists the exact % or $ amount they will pay out on purchases made through the E-Mall. You can be assured that a cash back check will be sent to the organization you choose.
Do I have to start my shopping from Shop For Charity Day? Yes. In order for your organization to get credit, the purchases must be made from SFCD. We encourage you to add us to your "Favorites" and come back often. Every dollar you spend will MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
How do I get credit for my organization from my purchases? Simply be sure to do your shopping through our E-Mall. You can be sure every purchase is tracked and paid on. When will my organization get the money? Checks are sent to us monthly, 45-60 days in arrears. This allows the merchant time to report merchandise returns. SFCD issues checks on the 25th of each month.
At our organization’s request, SFCD does not send checks for amounts less than $25.00. If an account has less than $25.00 at the end of the month, the funds will carry over each month until $25.00 accrues.
What if I have a problem with my order? Contact the orders or customer service department of the merchant. Each of our merchants has met strict criteria of quality and customer service to be qualified for inclusion in our Mall.
If I make a purchase from a store before they are part of the SFCD Network of stores, why can't I get credit for that purchase? Unfortunately, only those purchases made AFTER the store joined the SFCD Network count. Payment can only be made after SFCD makes an agreement with the merchant to donate a percentage of your purchase to us.
What percentage from each purchase comes back to my organization?
Each merchant offers their own percentage “affiliate fee”. They will range anywhere from 2% to 50%. When you click on a category or search the Mall, the stores that will show first in the search results are the ones that give the highest cash back – meaning the most money will come back to the organization. We encourage you to shop these stores – allowing you to make the greatest difference.
Will I pay more for things because you are making money off my purchase?
Happily, No. You will find the prices in the Mall to be comparable with, or less, than you would find them elsewhere. Merchants are able to offer the % to us because we are doing the advertising work for them – allowing them to keep their prices competitive through their Online Stores.
Are my purchases tax deductible?
No. The IRS limits tax deductibility for charitable contributions to the amount paid over and above the fair market price for an item. Since the prices you pay when buying from the Merchants at our site are the same as if you purchased directly from the merchant, no tax-deductible event occurs.
Can anyone make purchases on this Mall?
Yes. You don’t need to be a member to support your organization with your online shopping. Anyone can shop, and it is always free.
How do I know my organization will receive the funds?
Shop For Charity Day, Inc. fully complies with all relevant laws and statutes. The entire team at Shop For Charity Day, Inc. is committed to maximizing the fundraising efforts for all organizations they support.
Can any organization be a part of Shop For Charity Day?
The short answer is Yes. The longer answer is Yes – as long as the organization is not connected with terrorism, hate crimes or pornography of any type. We maintain the right to delete any organization from our databases that does not meet the SFCD standards.
Does an organization have to be a non-profit to be part of your Mall?
No. The organization does not have to have a non-profit status. It simply needs to be a group of people with a mission to fulfill. For instance, it could be a group of students going on a trip; a group of business employees who want to raise money for a daycare center at work; etc. We are simply giving people a way for their shopping to make a difference – in their own lives, or in others.
Can an individual register as an organization?
Yes. It could be a college student needing help with tuition & spending money. It could be a local child who needs a heart transplant. It could be a newly widowed Mom with children who needs help. Using our resources to direct people to the Mall, a huge difference can be made for just one person.
When I add an organization, how long will it take for it to show up in the Mall?
Your organization will show up instantly - giving you the ability to shop for them during your first visit with us.

No. We don’t require the name of the person submitting an organization, business or individual.
